Privacy policies, support and changelogs for Sawa browser extensions.
Effective date: 2 October 2026 Applies to: the Kwota browser extension, version 1.0 and its 1.0.x updates.
Summary. Kwota doesn’t collect, sell or share personal data. It works inside your browser, only on claude.ai, as you. Its only network requests go to claude.ai itself, using the sign-in you already have there. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
What Kwota reads on claude.ai, and why. Kwota runs only on claude.ai. While you have claude.ai open, Kwota asks claude.ai, from that page and as the signed-in user, for:
This happens inside your browser. The chat list and chat messages are held in memory only while you use them; Kwota never saves them or sends them anywhere. Kwota doesn’t read your claude.ai login cookie or any other cookie, doesn’t read what you type in the message box, and never sends messages or prompts for you. To refresh the meter after a reply, Kwota notices when claude.ai finishes a reply from the timing of the page’s own requests, not from their content.
Requests to claude.ai. These are ordinary requests from your signed-in session, made at a limited rate and only while claude.ai is open in your browser. With no claude.ai tab open, Kwota makes no requests at all. Anthropic receives these requests as it receives your own use of claude.ai, under its own privacy policy.
Changes you ask for. When you delete chats with Clean up, Kwota asks claude.ai to delete exactly the chats you confirmed, after showing you their number. claude.ai can’t restore deleted chats, so neither can we. Kwota changes nothing on claude.ai without your confirmation.
What Kwota stores. On your device, in the browser’s extension storage:
Kwota also keeps short-lived working data in memory, such as which claude.ai tabs are open and when it last refreshed; it’s cleared when the browser closes. Kwota never stores chat content, chat titles, names, email addresses or browsing history, and nothing is synced to other devices. “Clear history” in Kwota’s settings deletes the history at once; removing Kwota deletes everything it stored.
Files you export. Exported chats are turned into files inside your browser and saved through your browser’s normal download, to your device. We never receive them.
Notifications. Usage alerts and reset reminders are created on your device from the stored readings. You can switch each one off.
No other connections. Kwota has no servers, analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising or tracking. It doesn’t load code or settings from the internet: everything it uses is inside the extension.
Emails you choose to send. “Report a problem” opens our support page or a message in your own email app. Nothing is sent unless you send it yourself. A pre-filled message contains only Kwota’s version and your browser and operating system, never chat content, titles or account details. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply and to fix problems, and share it with no one apart from the email service that hosts our mailbox. We delete support emails 12 months after the last reply, and sooner if you ask.
Traces on the page. Kwota adds its own small elements to claude.ai pages: the meter and, while it’s open, the Clean up panel. claude.ai could notice them and infer that Kwota is installed. Kwota doesn’t change claude.ai’s own content.
Third parties. Kwota shares no data with anyone. The add-on store you installed Kwota from may process data about your installation under its own privacy policy; we only see the totals stores give developers, such as the number of installs.
Children. Kwota isn’t directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.
Your choices. You can switch off the in-page meter, the toolbar number and each alert, clear the usage history, or remove Kwota at any time. Kwota holds no personal data about you on any server, so there’s nothing for us to access, correct or delete, except emails you’ve sent us. To ask about those, write to ah.sawahel+support@gmail.com.
Changes. If a future version changes how Kwota handles data (for example, by adding a license check for an optional paid upgrade), we’ll update this policy and its effective date before that version is released, and say so in the release notes.
Independence. Kwota is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. The name Claude is used only to say which service Kwota works with.
